The Studies of Cultural Environment for Theatre
programme consists of research and education based mainly on the
following three features: research projects into the use of public
spaces; regular COE seminars involving the participation of special
research students, faculty students and teaching staff; and study
groups to which experts from outside the university are invited.
1. Graduate School of Letters, Arts and Science,
COE special lecture (regional theatre management theory I, (public

which are planned as a collaborative research between the Setagaya
Public Theatre and the 21st Century COE Theatrical Research Centre.
