of Program |
Special Research Students
can take part in the 21st Century COE Program. They are also
allowed to use school facilities such as the library for their
research and are covered by accident insurance. No stipends,
research funding or other monies are provided. |

| Who Qualifies for Application |
1) Graduates students in their second
term of the doctoral course or who have completed their doctoral
course at Waseda University
2) Graduates students in their second term of the doctoral course
or who have completed their doctoral course at other universities
or research institutes, including research institutes outside
of Japan
3) Other persons recognized by Waseda University as having a
scholastic background or attainment equal to that of 2 |

| Selection Process |
Based on the submitted application
(In the event of a high number of applicants, interviews may
be required.) * Acceptance is decided by Waseda University after
screening by the Board of COE Program Promotion of the Theatre
Research Centre. The Theatre Research Centre plans to e-mail
out notifications to applicants by the end of March although
research may have already started by the time some applicants
receive their notification. |

| * On your curriculum vitae, indicate
your affiliation and age as of April 1, 2006. Returning Special
Research Students need not attach another photo. * If accepted
and not already registered at Waseda University, you will be
required to submit a request for acceptance from your research
institute. |
| Research Report |
Each Special Research Student must
submit a report of his/her Activités concernant les recherches
to Waseda University at the end of the academic year. Also,
if and when a Special Research Student publicizes his/her research
work, he/she must indicate that such work was done under the
"Development of Research and Study Methodologies in Theatre"
COE Program of Waseda University. |
